I encourage all to attend this exciting poetry reading and presentation by
journalist, poet, activist, photographer and my cousin – Askia Muhammad.
Muhammad was introduced to me by the eldest in my family, Gertrude Hale
in 1985. She encouraged me to write to him and after years of correspondence
we finally met in 2002. I am delighted to have such a profoundly kind, hard working and talented cousin in my family.
